Querida amiga. Gracias por prestarme tu espejo.

Letter to an imaginary friend.

My little friend, I don´t know very well what you´re talking about, but I understand you´re going through a bad moment. Life includes these sequences and time helps us to find the most adecuated tune to face them.
Sometimes, I´ve taken part in conversations in wich, absolutely far away from the truth, people whom I knew well were treated unfairly. That is the first sensation I´ve had reading your letter. You´re not fair with yourself, but that´s a normal reaction.
Perhaps, I´d wait from you serenity and, why not, more courage.
You have to be brave to admit mistakes and keep to reality. Has anybody suffer because of me? I´ll ask for forgiveness and give back what I can, so I´ll be able to stay on my own with my reality.
When we´re very young, conflicts appear increased and a chickpea, in spite of been hidden under seven mattresses, is able to bruise our spirits. Life looks like a story, happy or not, but just a story.
When we´re very young we need points of reference. Big ideas seem to have their own life and we put them a divine face because we´re too small to put them up in our comprehension.
We aren´t able to share a toy “of us”, because we translate “to be” as “to own”. We draw borders that prevent us from growing in that vital mixing coming from the other side and stand walls thinking that way our human thinness won´t be seen.
            We mature.
Sooner or later years, ours, miss each other and want to be together. This is a delicate moment, each one defends itself. Year 6 is not like year 26 or 86 and it´s necessary to find a space where all of them can feel comfortable without renouncing their peculiarities.
We bear very badly not to be the centre of the universe and react like kinglets. A boy can say “I hate you” because he isn´t still resourceful to distinguish between responsibility and dependence, but if an adult was hated, fundamental ways to reach maturity in that trip to one´s element would have been closed.
The paradox is that journey to the centre can just be started from the maturity put up in that same centre.
Dear friend, thank you for lending me your mirror.
